Carey Purdom is the co-founder of the studio ministries. She has a Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and over 20 years of ministry experience. Carey was reached and discipled in college through The Navigators ministry. Through The Navigators, Carey experienced intentional discipleship for the first time and God gave her a passion to help women learn to walk intimately with Jesus and live intentionally to expand his kingdom by making disciples who make disciples. Carey met her husband Matt, who she’s been married to for 18 years, in The Navigators and they went on to serve on associate staff with that ministry for several years. After attending and graduating seminary together, Matt was hired by Brentwood Baptist Church where he has served a discipleship minister for 12 years.  Matt holds a doctorate of ministry from Southern Seminary and is currently pursuing a PhD in Biblical Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Carey loves to partner with her husband in ministry, as they share a common passion for God’s word and His people. Carey and Matt have four children: Micah (16), Joel (13), Noah (11), and Lydia (9). Carey loves being a mom and finds great joy in helping her kids cultivate their talents and pursue their passions. You can find Carey on various weeknights and weekends at the baseball field, soccer field, ice hockey arena, basketball court, skateboard park, or maybe even a concert supporting her kids and cheering loudly!
